Can you believe it's already Thanksgiving?!?!? Where did the year go? It's crazy to think about how much time can really fly... Now that the holiday season is officially in full swing, I can't help but reflect on some of things that have happened this year - both good and bad - and how much I have changed, but only for the better.
So here are just a few things I'm thankful for this year...
The Ability to See Through Challenges. As you may have read in one of my blogs, this year was a challenging year for JHLS. There have been some huge changes, some of which we expected, some we didn't.
All in all, we've learned some hard lessons this year. We've learned the value of working with only people whom we trust, who are in line with our mission and values, and who don't take us for granted. And it is through this strength, power, and determination that we have conquered our challenges, allowing us to move on and look forward to a bigger and brighter 2017.
Understanding and Support. As an entrepreneur, I'm often misunderstood. I'm called a workaholic. People tell me I'm crazy for working two jobs, and that I need to take more vacations. Unfortunately, after such a challenging year, a vacation wasn't quite in the cards for me. I've had to work double time in order to bounce back and rebuild parts of my business in order to finish the year strong.
However, through this year I've also learned the value of surrounding yourself with those who love and support you - through and through - and who truly take the time to understand who I really am as a person and as an entrepreneur.
Through my experience and soul-searching, I truly believe there is a difference between being workaholic and being passionate about your job or career. When you do something you truly love, it isn't really work...
My Clients. One of the things I'm truly thankful for this year is you - my readers, my audience, my clients. YOU are the reason that I started this business. YOU are what gets me out of bed every morning. YOU are what make me strive to be a better person and a better business owner. YOU make every long day worth it. And YOU give me the motivation to keep going and keep building my business.
Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today.
THANK YOU for all the years of greatness - and, as always, thanks for reading.
